Arrest after man left with serious stab injuries

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Herefordshire.

West Mercia Police were called to Kernal Road in Hereford at about 23:40 BST on Sunday, where officers found a man in his 20s with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

Insp Kate Collett said a 27-year-old suspect remained in police custody, adding: "Our inquiries are continuing and we are still appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened."

She urged people with doorbell and CCTV footage to come forward, as well as anyone who had information which could help the investigation.
