Plans for tourist attraction at 'map of Scotland' viewpoint withdrawn

The vista on the A87 road to Skye in Glen Garry is often said to look like a map of mainland Scotland.
Black Sheep Management Services submitted a planning application for a visitor centre, café, shop and car park last year.
The company confirmed it had withdrawn the original proposals and was preparing revised plans.
The project has faced some opposition, with local residents raising concerns about traffic congestion, environmental impact and competition with a community hall.
A spokesperson for the developer said it remained supportive of the project.
They said the decision to withdraw the planning application followed detailed consideration of a water supply and related drainage.
The spokesperson said the process of submitting a revised planning application to Highland Council for consideration would be "initiated imminently".
