Woman dies after three-vehicle crash closes A47

Police said officers were called to South Brink just before 07:10 BST

A woman in her 50s has died after a crash involving two cars and a lorry closed part of the A47.

Cambridgeshire Police said officers were called just before 07:10 BST to reports of a collision on South Brink, near Wisbech.

The woman, who was driving one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said no other serious injuries had been reported.

The road remains closed between the roundabout at Guyhirn and the roundabout for Cromwell Road, Wisbech, police added.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

The force has asked anyone with information about the collision to contact them.
