A man has been charged with the kidnap and murder of a 21-year-old who was found seriously injured in a car park.

Essex Police said Jack Sullivan, from Waltham Abbey, was kidnapped from the town on 22 June before being found in a car park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.

He was taken to hospital where he died on 26 June, the force said.

Kevhaunne Williams, 26, of Beechfield Walk, Waltham Abbey, was due to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Thursday, the force said.

Detectives had previously appealed to the public for help to find Sullivan's blue Louis Vuitton trainers, worth about £1,000.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from London, remain on police conditional bail.
