Authorities investigate death of man at company
GoogleA Worcestershire company has said it is working with authorities investigating the death of a man at its site in Redditch.
Jeremy Cieslik, chief executive of Mettis Aerospace, said: "It is with deep sadness that we confirm the death of one of our colleagues on site."
Emergency services were called to the site on Windsor Road at about 12:45 BST on Thursday, police said.
"We are cooperating with the authorities as they investigate the circumstances and are supporting those affected," the firm added. "Out of respect for the individual and their family's privacy, we are not able to share further details at this stage," said the company.
The man's death is being treated as unexplained and a joint investigation is underway with the Health and Safety Executive, said West Mercia Police.
