A community group in Derbyshire opted for two wise men to save funds for activities and day trips.
Pupils created the special nativity show after being inspired by content on Instagram.
This year's nativity at Duneane Primary, near Toomebridge in County Antrim, is the school's last as it's closing after 135 years.
"It's very much a family-feel school and the parents were delighted we could include Mildred."
The vicar at the church has collected the scenes since the 1990s.
About 80 nativity sets from around the world are on display for the weekend.
Gabriel reaches the stars via a telehandler, while Glenn the donkey is the "star of the show".
The production has reporters and presenters alongside the traditional roles of Mary and Joseph.
