Flat closed after ongoing anti-social problems
Northamptonshire PoliceA flat where ongoing problems with anti-social behaviour (ASB) have been reported has been fully closed.
Northamptonshire Police said a partial closure order was put in place at St Stephens House, in Spring Boroughs, Northampton, on 30 April, but further action had since been taken as part of "ongoing work".
The force said there had been a "noticeable reduction" in issues since the end of April, but there were still problems being reported at one "single address".
Police said that, by working with partners, it was helping "to improve the safety and wellbeing of those living in the building" and give further reassurance to people in the area.
GoogleThe force said the order was secured with West Northamptonshire Council's ASB case manager, Rachel Head, her colleagues and the police force's Clear Hold Build (CHT) team.
Sgt Ben Frost, from the CHB team, said: "This is a really positive result for the residents of St Stephens House, who have been affected by ongoing anti-social behaviour.
"While the partial closure order made a significant difference, it was clear further action was needed to address the issues linked to this specific property."
He said the teams would continue to work closely together "to ensure we deliver long-term, sustainable reductions in crime and anti-social behaviour, and make a positive difference to the communities we serve".
