Boy, 13, dies in hospital after e-bike house fire

A 13-year-old boy has died after being seriously injured in a house fire that police believe was started by an e-bike.

Coby Keogh and a 19-year-old man were hurt in the blaze on Redcar Road, Blackpool, shortly before 09:30 BST on Tuesday, Lancashire Police said.

Coby died in hospital from his injuries on Sunday, and the 19-year-old remains in a serious condition, the force said.

Three other people in the house suffered minor injuries.

A police spokesman said an investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing between police and the fire and rescue service but "there is no third-party involvement".

"At this time, we believe the fire was started by an e-bike," police said.
